Curly Bill Brocius was a member of the Clanton gang. He was acquitted of the murder of Tombstone Marshal Fred White. Curly also helped the Clantons rig a election for county sheriff. Brocius was a part in the ambush against Virgil Earp and would be hunted by Wyatt Earp. Curly would disappear, most likely was killed by Wyatt Earp. The Tombstone Nugget wouldn't believe that so they an an ad offering 1,000 dollars for anyone who could prove Brocius dead. The next day the Epitaph ran an ad offering 2,000 for anyone to prove him alive. Neither reward has been collected.
