What AL Capone was to prohibition, Newman "Old Man" Clanton was to cattle rustling. Some historians have him as the head of a massive outlaw and cattle rustlers ring. He was father to John, Phin,Joseph Isaac (Ike), Peter, and Billy. He was murdered 2 months before his youngest son was killed at the OK Corral. Newman made his 14 miles from Tombstone in 1878. Old Man Clanton was murdered in his sleeping bag on the Mexican border on August 3rd 1881.
